Based in Charleston, SC, Classic Meetings, Inc. (CMI), provides services for meetings that range from a keynote speech for 2500 to an intimate business breakfast for 6 people, anywhere in the world. CMI was founded in 1999 by Rina Agriss Blair. Rina was a former meeting and conference-planning executive with more than fourteen years experience in the industry with 5-star/ 5-diamond properties such as Kiawah Island Resorts in Charleston, SC and the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, CA. As founder, Rina succeeded in building a strong, diverse management team to provide CMI’s clients with an unforgettable meeting planning experience. Sadly, Rina passed away in 2009, but her uncompromising commitment to excellence and indomitable spirit continues to live on in the rest of the team. Doug Blair now brings his own entrepreneurial spirit, attention to detail and over 20 years of exemplary experience in the hospitality and resort management industries to lead the CMI team towards continued growth and success.
